Butyl Acetate
Butyl acetate is a colorless liquid with a strong odor. It is used in the leather and chemical industries and is also an important solvent in paint production. It is used in the production of lacquer. It is an excellent solvent for cellulose nitrate, polymers, resins, inks, adhesives and oils.
It is also used as an essence in the cosmetics industry and cleaning materials.
Iso Butyl Acetate
It is an ester type active organic solvent.
Although its function in cellulosic thinner is important, it is also used as a solvent in nitrocellulose resin systems, varnishes and final coat enamels;
as a solvent in paint and cellulose manufacturing; and
as a component in pharmaceutical processes and perfumes.
Ethyl Acetate
Ethyl acetate (systematic name ethyl ethanoate, abbreviated EtOAc or EA) is an organic compound with the formula CH3COOCH2CH3. This colorless liquid compound has a sweet odor similar to pear juice, like some adhesives and acetone. Ethyl acetate is the ester of ethanol and acetic acid, and is a frequently produced substance in industry because it is a strong solvent.
Ethyl acetate is generally used as a solvent and diluent. It is also preferred because of its cheapness, low toxicity and pleasant smell. For example, it is used by adding it to acetone and acetonitrile to clean advertising posters and to remove nail polish. This solvent has the ability to remove caffeine from coffee and tea.
Ethyl acetate, also used as an activator and hardener in paints, is used in confectionery, perfumes and some fruits. Since it evaporates quickly during use in perfumes, it leaves the surface, leaving the scent of the perfume on the skin.
Ethyl Glycol Acetate
Ether acetate, which is used to dissolve polyester and short oil alkyd resins in addition to the areas of use of ethyl glycol. Its use is restricted due to the risks it poses to human health.
